Welcome to the USS India

'A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new; when an age ends...' -Jawaharlal Nehru (1889-1964)
The USS India is a Sunbird-class frigate proudly attached to Task Force 47 of Obsidian Fleet.
A rapid-response spacecraft, the USS India is directly attached to Starfleet Medical and Intelligence. Her mission is simple: to safeguard the peoples of the Federation with prompt response and successful implementation of her mission parameters.
India's duties see her serving across the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, constantly on the move between each assignment, swooping in and saving the day before moving swiftly on to the next crisis.
Her work secret, her crew's job a thankless one, they toil in the knowledge that few, if any, shall ever hear of her good deeds and endeavours.
Understanding this these unsung heroes of Starfleet do their duty to their utmost, sacrificing each and every day for the cause they believe in.
Do you have what it takes? Can you make your tryst with Destiny?

ALCON,
Greetings from your friendly webmaster.
You've all by now read the Captain's resignation of the Simm. Per OF's rules and reg's there's many routes for all of you all here on the simm to take over or transfer or w/e you wish to do. That's all up to y'all, but there's a few things up to me that you need to be aware of and take the necessary preparations...
1) This site was built and hosted by me as a personal favor to Ieu, our Captain. With him resigning the post, the site follows him. The subdomain india on my site, www.ussardeshir.net, is not available once I close this simm. I would recommend any of the hosts that OF typically uses. You can take that up (should you take over) with the TGCO/TFCO.
2) Today is 1 Sept 11. You have until 10 Sept 11 to gather your bio's, posts and other information off of the site. At the end of the day 10 Sept 11 (US West Coast time [GMT-8]) I will be disabling this site and with it goes the SQL DB. I would advise if you want anything off of here, get on it now.
Please let me know if you have questions or if you're going to take over and want anything more detailed from the site.
Smooth Sailing all,
Markus

ALCON,
It is with a heavy heart that I come to announce to you that I can no longer command the USS India.
It's been fun, but it's become clear that I have neither the time nor the will to continue. Various things are coming to a head in my Real Life and the likelihood is that I would not have been able to under any circumstances.
I have kept you far too long to consider this fair any longer, and have decided to let it come to an end.
Our TFCO will be sending an email as soon as he possibly can detailing what will go on from here.
The essential message will be you have 7 days to decide to transfer your characters to another simm with that CO's approval, allow the character to be deleted, or to step up and take command of the India yourselves.
I hope this finds you well,
Captain Clive Vallance

ALCON,
With the bulk of my dissertation research done, and the writing to begin, I'm back with (some) vengeance! Apologies for the absence, but I felt it best to break the back of this thing before I could come back to the simm totally committed. It was better a month of absence than three of limping along with getting little done.
And with my return, I come bearing an idea. As some of you may have noticed, there's a new mission up. This is not to replace our current mission, but rather a place for you to share the adventures of each of your characters before they came to the India on their assignments.
There are no requirements to post in this mission, but I do hope you'll be willing to take advantage of this new scheme. So if there's ever a writing itch you need to satisfy, but can't think of a way to work it into the main mission, here's where it's going to go!
A JP pushing our mission forward will be put up in the next day or two.
Here's hoping you're all well.
